Sydney

The Sydney area is covered by the SRC-funded on-line guide Sun, Surf and Sandstone. The site provides up to date details of most of the crags in the Sydney basin. It is updated frequently with the latest information as provided by Sydney climbers.

Blue Mountains

The Blue Mountains covers many crags between Penrith and the Lithgow Area 140km west of Sydney. It will take 1.5-2 hours to drive to the Katoomba/Mt Victoria areas. Trains to Katoomba/Lithgow can be used to reach most major crags, although some will entail a 40-50min walk from the station.

Guide books for this area include 'Blue Mountains Climbing 2007 Edition', from Onsight Publishing; and the SRC's 'Rockclimbs In the Upper Blue Mountains'. The latter book covers more crags but does not contain topographical drawings of climbs.
