New Routes and Updates

This section of the web site has information on recently established climbs that do not appear in a guide book. In general there is some kind of access and/or route description, and some first ascentionists have prepared maps or photo topos.

If you've spotted a new looking line at a crag and cannot find it here, a good source to try is TheCrag.com. This is essentially a crag and route listing and on-line tick list. People who establish new routes can insert the name and grade into the correct part of the list for the appropriate crag. The site does not give beta, simply basic details of name, grade and height. Climbers who tick routes do leave comments, however.

Another source is the recently established Australian Climbing Association web site, which has extensive route listings with maps and beta.
