Membership has its benefits

You'll never be far from other climbers when you're a member of the Sydney Rockclimbing Club, so read up on the details and get ready to join the club.

Membership details

Membership is open to climbers over 18 years of age on payment of the membership fee. Membership always expires on 30th June with half-year membership available at a reduced rate from 1st January.

Membership includes an electronic colour copy (a PDF file) of the club newsletter.
For an extra $10 (on top of the fees below) you can receive the black and white paper copy of the newsletter delivered in the mail.

Club membership fees are:

New Members

  • Joining Jun-Dec: $30 (Expires Jun 30 in the following year)
  • Joining Jan-Jun: $20 (Expires Jun 30 in the same year)

 

Existing Members

  • Renewing before 1 July: $20
  • Renewing on or after 1 July: as for new members
  

All Members

  • $10 surcharge for paper copy of the newsletter, delivered by Australia Post

THE SRC DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY CLIMBING INSTRUCTION

The SRC encourages beginner climbers to undertake an outdoor climbing course with a qualified instructor.

The safety issues relevant to climbing outdoors are totally different to those involved with indoor gym climbing.

Print and fill out the form then follow the instructions below.

Complete, sign and date the membership application form and return it to us.

If you are a new member, you must attend a club meeting. Hand the completed and signed form to a committee member at the meeting, tendering the relevant fee in cash, cheque or money order.

If you are a renewing or previous member, you can either:

• send the form to the address below. Enclose a cheque or money order made out to the Sydney Rockclimbing Club Inc, or transfer payment to the club's bank account - details below. Unfortunately we cannot accept credit card payments.

or

• attend a monthly club meeting, and pay by cash or cheque.
