Sydney Rockclimbing Club - 75th Anniversary Event
The Sydney Rockclimbing Club was established in 1951 and this year marks the 75th anniversary!
The club has a rich history, having been at the forefront of climbing development across the Blue Mountains and at our local Sydney crags since the beginning.
In celebration of this milestone, we will be holding a get-together at the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba on Saturday, October 17th, kicking off at 3pm and running to 10pm.
Climbing continues to develop, and the event will reflect this evolution as a mix of speakers and guests will cover the early days of the club and those pioneering exploits right up to insights into the latest developments of the sport.
I hope also it will be a reflection on where to next for the club. Certainly, it will be an evening to remember.
Given the venue, we have very limited places, so let me know if you are interested in attending (free to SRC members).
